The Department of Languages and Literary Studies at Lafayette College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Chinese to begin July 1, 2024. This is a full-time appointment with a 3/3 teaching load. The successful candidate will teach Chinese language and culture courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum and participate in extracurricular language/culture activities. Areas of research specialization are open. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in fields such as Chinese linguistics and applied linguistics, Chinese language pedagogy, Chinese literature, or Chinese culture. Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese and English as well as a Ph.D. at the time of appointment are required.
