The Dean of Academic Initiatives is responsible for review, planning, and recommendations regarding the College’s curriculum; for management and oversight of course enrollments, faculty teaching loads, and department and program course planning; for management of the assessment of student learning and preparation for accreditation reviews; and for oversight of the academic external review process. The Dean supervises the College’s sponsored research effort and is responsible for the promotion, management, and coordination of student and faculty research, and faculty travel; and serves ex officio on the Academic Research Committee, the Curriculum and Educational Policy Committee, the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, and the Institutional Review Board.
