Some departments, programs, and curricular initiatives (such as FYS) already have funding that may be used for trips. To allow for a larger range of students to benefit from trips to NYC, the College has made available $25,000 to fund course-based day trips during the current academic year that use the NY Law School rooms and facilities.

To apply for this funding fill out the request form.

The request for funding requires:

  • A syllabus for your course
  • A brief rationale explaining how a NYC trip would advance the purposes of the course
  • Indication of whether another class will be traveling with you. (We anticipate using 40-person charter buses, so two small classes could travel together.)
  • A budget for lunch, tickets, and other needed expenses
  • Contact information, including a cell phone number

Funding for each proposal is normally capped at $1,500 per class. Submissions involving 2 or more classes are encouraged. Proposals will be reviewed on an ongoing basis (until there are no funds remaining), and a response normally will be sent in about 2 weeks of submission. We expect to to be able to support about 8 proposals each semester.
