The Biology Department of Lafayette College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of biology starting in academic year 2019-2020. We seek candidates with expertise in the intersection of biology and mathematics, with an enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching, a commitment to creative instruction in a variety of settings, and the ability to meaningfully involve students in scholarly research in an undergraduate college environment. Teaching responsibilities will include quantitative biology, biostatistics, an advanced course in the applicant’s area of interest, and contribution to the Common Course of Study. The department is especially interested in applicants with broad and diverse experiences, training, and scholarly interests who can contribute to enriching diversity in the curriculum and enhance the vibrant learning community at Lafayette College.

A Ph.D. in Biology, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a related field by August 2019 is required; post-doctoral and teaching experience preferred.
