The Lafayette College Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for two tenure-track positions in statistics to commence in the 2025-26 academic year. Applicants must have a PhD in the mathematical sciences or be in the final stages of attaining one. Applicants are expected to have an active scholarly program in any area of statistics. Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching broadly in undergraduate statistics. Faculty members are expected to work with undergraduates individually, through activities like guiding honors thesis work, teaching independent studies, or incorporating them into research projects. Successful candidates will demonstrate willingness and ability to contribute to the life of a vigorous mathematics program on a small, exclusively undergraduate campus. The teaching load is four courses in the first year of employment, and five courses per year thereafter.
