The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Lafayette College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level. The department is primarily seeking candidates with a passion for undergraduate teaching and mentoring and the ability to teach core electrical/computer engineering courses in digital design and embedded systems and having experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, computer architecture, and chip design. The department is interested in candidates with the potential to teach electives in computer engineering, VLSI, Artificial Intelligence, or Internet of Things, etc. Candidates must demonstrate the potential to establish a research program that engages undergraduate students and results in the publication of scholarly work in peer-reviewed venues.
The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department has approximately 75 students across all classes and features small class sizes, hands-on laboratory experiences, and strong support for faculty research and professional development.
