The Department of Anthropology and Sociology at Lafayette College invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor position in Sociology for the academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate education. The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Sociology and elective courses that fit within the department’s curriculum and their substantive areas of expertise. Preferred areas of specialty include sociology of organizations, media and society, sociology of consumerism and marketing, and deviance, but the search committee will consider faculty across all areas of expertise. This is a full-time appointment with a 3/3 teaching load each year. A PhD is required, but ABD candidates with a firm completion date by June 2023 will also be considered.
