The Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures at Lafayette College invites applications for a full-time visiting assistant professorship in Spanish (3/3 teaching load) beginning Fall 2022. We are looking for a Latin Americanist with an open specialization. However, preference will be given to candidates whose teaching and research interests include Mexican, Andean, and/or Indigenous studies. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at all levels of the undergraduate Spanish program. We encourage applications from candidates with a proven record of scholarship and a minimum of two years of teaching experience demonstrating a strong commitment to inclusion and diversity, curricular development, pedagogical innovation, and technology.  Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish. Ph.D. required at time of employment. Salary and benefits are very competitive.
