Lafayette College has been a leader of formalized undergraduate engineering education since 1866. Since its inception, the engineering division has emphasized superior education in engineering and the liberal arts, placing a strong emphasis on student-faculty interaction. This is accomplished via innovative teaching, opportunities to engage in research, completion of hands-on design projects, and thriving study abroad programs. In recent years the engineering programs have been ranked in the top 15 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report among undergraduate-focused institutions. This tenure-track position provides a unique opportunity to mentor students at one of the nation’s highly ranked undergraduate-only institutions offering ABET-accredited engineering degrees. The teaching load is five courses per year (four in the faculty member’s first year).  Candidates can find more information about the CEE department (http://ce.lafayette.edu/) and EGRS program (https://es.lafayette.edu/) at their websites.

Application materials should demonstrate the applicant’s commitment to teaching engineering in an undergraduate, liberal arts environment and address how the applicant’s teaching, research, and/or service will support Lafayette’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Review of applications will begin on October 1, 2021. However, applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
