The Department of Anthropology and Sociology at Lafayette College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in Sociology for the academic year 2022-2023. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate education to teach Introduction to Sociology and elective courses that fit within the department’s curriculum. Area specialties in sociology of disabilities, education, indigenous peoples, sexualities, social movements, economic sociology, and law and society are welcome but all areas will be considered. This is a full-time appointment with a 3/3 teaching load. A PhD is required, but ABD candidates with a firm completion date by June 2022 will also be considered.
