Women in higher education are invited to register for a free webinar featuring a panel of three senior leaders from Pennsylvania Consortium of the Liberal Arts from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21. The Inspire panel and Q&A will be led by Kate Volzer, co-founder and CEO of Wisr (and a former higher education admissions officer), with panelists sharing their career/life trajectories:

  • Barbara K. Altmann, president of Franklin & Marshall College
  • Brontè Burleigh-Jones, vice president for finance and administration at Dickinson College
  • Jesse Gale, chief communications officer at Bryn Mawr College

The panelists will share practical advice on negotiation tactics (for one’s self, but also on behalf of one’s institution), being one’s true self in traditionally male-dominated fields; three things they wish they knew before becoming people managers, and more. Each has carved her own unique path to her present position—moving in and out of academia, juggling personal and professional obligations, and ultimately judging when it was right for them to pursue leadership opportunities.
